Bostons 10 best after-work drink spots
Working at Boston Offices in the heart of the city means endless options for food and drink spots, but sometimes too many options sometimes results in a rushed and regretful decision. To avoid this, we have compiled a list of our favorite spots surrounding our Coworking Space here at Boston Offices, for you to enjoy an after-work drink. Now, getting happy hour drinks in Boston has never been easier.
The Black Rose - 160 State St, Boston, MA 02109
This tavern styled upscale pub is one of the older Irish pubs in the area. Famous for their delicious lobster rolls and creamy pints of Guinness, The Black Rose is the perfect spot for casual after-work chats over a great drink and even better appetizers. Once the live music kicks off you'll forget all about those midweek blues.
The Last Hurrah - 60 School Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02108
The perfect place for a quick night cap (or two). The Last Hurrah is a relaxed hotel bar in the Omni Parker House. To our delight, we were given a complimentary side of warm mixed nuts which went brilliantly with one of their classic cocktails. Their extensive drink list makes choice a huge challenge for even the most decisive. As the Omni Parker House is the original founder of the Boston cream pie, we thought it would be rude not to try one, and it is by far the best we've ever had.
Outlook Kitchen and Bar & Lookout Rooftop and Bar - 70 Sleeper St, Boston, MA 02210
If you're in the mood for some superb views of Downtown Boston then ‘Lookout rooftop and bar’ is the spot for you. Every picture you take will be Instagram worthy here. They have transformed their rooftop deck into a winter wonderland with six big igloo's to keep your hands warm while sipping on an ice cold drink. You can also enjoy a drink inside in their bright Outlook kitchen and bar which always has a great buzz about the place.
Stoddard’s Fine Food & Ale - 48 Temple Pl, Boston, MA 02111
This gastropub serves high end food in one of the oldest buildings in the area. If it’s beer you're after then this is the place to go - their wide selection of beer is phenomenal. The interior decor and architecture will leave you in awe.
Haley Henry - 45 Province St, Boston, MA 02108
Looking for a unique wine bar? Look no further! In the heart of Downtown Crossing is this cozy, intimate space, an ideal setting to bring coworkers or clients. Enjoy their delicious and creative tapas style appetizers.
North 26 Restaurant & Bar - Haymarket, 26 North St, Boston, MA 02109
If you’re anything like us and love to ‘people watch’ then this is a spot you’ll thoroughly enjoy. It is a beautifully bright space with large windows, surrounded by busy tourists yet doesn’t at all have a tourist feel inside.
Scollay Square - 21 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02108
The perfect place to go once the weather warms up with their outdoor patio and ice cold cocktails. Their ‘special’ cocktail which changes each week has never let us down, always the perfect mixtures for each season. We've also heard they make a mean martini.
Yvonne’s - 2 Winter Pl, Boston, MA 02108
If it’s a special someone you’re bringing out for an after-work nightcap, Yvonne’s will set the perfect mood. This 1920’s speakeasy has an unforgettable ambiance and there’s great excitement in queuing up in a hair salon not knowing what awaits you inside. An elegant dining room filled with comfy furniture and a diverse menu.
Ward 8 - 90 N Washington St, Boston, MA 02114
The main thing we love about going to Ward 8 is being able to describe exactly what we're in the mood for and the bartenders will whip me up something spectacular. Ward 8 has a very cozy vibe, with unique and delicious cocktails to choose from.
The Merchant - Downtown Crossing Retail Space, 60 Franklin St, Boston, MA 02110
With over 20 beers on tap this is a brilliant place to bring clients or colleagues. A very relaxed atmosphere with great music and drinks. This is a popular choice for a midweek drink in Boston so it can form quite a crowd.
Hopefully this list makes life that much easier for you the next time you’re in charge of delegating where the office crowd goes for a drink. I know here at Boston Offices, they are extremely popular among our many groups and teams we have at both our coworking spaces in DTX.
